Steffen Vollmer, born 1955 in Dresden, studied 1976-1981 at the University for Graphic and Book Art in Leipzig and in the art-class for applied art of Prof. Heinz Wagner and Hartwig Ebersbach. Since 1981 several original-graphical books and files. 1 1982-1984 master student at the University for Fine Arts in Dresden (Prof. Gerhard Kettner); 1985 founding of the VOSTE-Edition; publisher of original-graphic collages and books. Since 1989 "May Drawings" on canvas and experiments with paper collages, 1990 first "Tea-Drawings" in combination with Chinese and note ink. 1994 founding member of the association "Art in Chemnitz" and 1994/5 first works in large formats on paper and canvas. 1996 winner of the competition "The Finest German Books". 1998 first work related with building construction and experiments with iron cast as well as acrylic glass. He exhibited in numerous German cities as well as Switzerland.
